The original cast --- Murray, Aykroyd, Ramis, Hudson with Sigourney Weaver and Harold Ramis (after having a long break from shooting films) have confirmed that they are finally on board in Ghostbusters 3 due 2011. Plot will be revealed soon!
Sigourney Weaver to reveal Bill Murray's role in G3:

From a recent interview with Harold Ramis, he mentioned that the script for the third film is being penned now by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. It'll be like Doc (Chris Llyod) in "Back to the Future" concept story, with the original cast in it. Hah! plus the release date will be pushed to 2011 (originally sched for this year) and film starts shooting this summer. Will post for more updates anytime!...

Latest buzz from aintitcool.com, Ivan Reitman confirms that he's on board for directing the movie with the first draft of the script in his hands. In his recent MTV red carpet interview, Reitman confirms the original cast of the Ghostbusters with again Weaver and probablity of Rick Moranis going back acting.
